Beginners Falconry Course

Falconry Services, based in North Yorkshire is dedicated to providing unrivalled falconry programmes for those wanting to learn more about the king's sport - falconry.

This 5 -day programme is an intensive approach to the basics of falconry, it allows you to gain experience and confidence but first and foremost, the knowledge needed to start your path into falconry. Designed for those with a serious desire to become a respectable/professional falconer. Whether that be for recreation, work in bird control/gull clearance, demonstration work or hunting.

Duration:
5 day courses
(4 days for smaller groups)
10am - 4pm
(Should you require additional time to complete the modules our tutors will work with you to successful completion, if you are concerned the 5 days won't allow you enough time, rest assured there is no specific time limit for completion)

Location:
Our courses are located in North Yorkshire, we are 15mins north of Northallerton and are based on 300 acres of mixed grass and woodland. At the foot of mount Grace this offers an outstanding environment.

Specifics:
Candidates must be 16 or over to complete this course.
Successful completion of this course leads to an accredited Raptor Award Certificate
You will leave this course bursting with new and exciting knowledge, in possession of the only accredited falconry award in the UK.

Recommended clothing:
Boots/wellies are recommended year-round, this course is predominantly practical. Warm clothing, waterproof coats. No bright colours.
​
Accommodation:
This course does not include accommodation although we can recommend local hotels nearby.
​
Additional information:
Drinks will be offered throughout the day; lunch will be provided by the local farm shop - though if you have any specific dietary requirements, please ensure you detail these on the student form completed before course commencement.
This course fee includes all Raptor Awards assessment workbooks and certificate upon completion.

Although the recommended completion time is 5 intensive days, we can however break this up to suit your diary.
